Single storey rear extension which included a window, roof lantern and bifold doors. Cost: £40000 "David came to see us a week before starting work to explain what was going to happen for site set up which was really helpful. The work started on the date given with materials being delivered throughout the day. Work progress outside with no disruption to our daily lives. The outside space and tools were always cleared away at the end of the day and existing paving cleaned. David arranged directly with the building control officer when they needed to attend and each inspection went without a problem. We were kept fully up to date at each stage. The walls and roof went up quicker than we had anticipated and before we knew it it was time to knock through into our existing kitchen. We have a dog so we were concerned the noise would be an issue but David was kind enough to let our dog out during the day and made sure he was happy. David made sure there was a screen put up between the new extension and our existing kitchen so we could continue to use this space, again at the end of every day site was left tidey and all tools were put away. David always gave us updates on progress and discussed small changes to the project that would work better than the original design which he was spot on about. The attention to detail and workmanship was amazing both inside and out. We now have an amazing space inside and a new patio area that we asked David to complete as an extra job. Single storey extension with velux windows and patio doors; new patio; internal remodelling of outhouse and pantry to create utility and toilet; new doors throughout; knock-through for double doors between downstairs reception rooms; chimney work; creation of 2 bathroom spaces from existing toilet and bathroom; new windows to rear and side. Cost: £70000 "From our first meeting with Dave we knew he was someone we could work with. He was happy to answer all our questions and provide the details of his last 2 jobs so we could seek references (which we did). He inspired confidence, especially when he told us that he only did one job at a time. We liked the way they set up all their tools and equipment (and tea station!) at the beginning so they rarely needed to go off-site for anything. All the materials arrived like clockwork. Dave had excellent relationships with other trades and they commented on how well organised he was, which meant he gave them plenty of notice of when he’d need them. He liaised effectively with building control. His quote was clear and comprehensive and his invoicing was accurate and well organised, with nothing unexpected. We were kept very well informed all the way through, and Dave was exceptionally patient while we made decisions about certain things, and gave us good advice. To demolish existing sunroom/ utility area, build extension from drawings provided. Over boarded existing lounge and dining room ceilings, removed coving, skimmed all walls, fitted new skirting boards, architraves. Fitted kitchen which was supplied by Howdens, supply and fit slabbing/ slate chippings for patio and path area, supply and fit 2 x fence panels, Build stud around chimney breast to house T.V, soundbar and shelves for T.V boxes. Build partition wall in previous kitchen space for new utility room and W/C. Supply and replaced doors for lounge, utility and W/C. Cost: £49548 "We approached David in early 2022 for a quote, we arranged a date and he arrived on the date and time agreed, he was professional and friendly, he explained everything we needed to do such as the checks with the council, CCTV for Severn Trent etc, a few days later David returned to us with the quote, we looked over it and agreed a start date of around the end of November 2022. David kept in touch with us on the progress he was making on the previous job before ours, unfortunately that ran over slightly which was no fault of the builders, with Christmas also approaching we reagreed on the start to be January 2023. As agreed, the job started at the beginning on January. David, Bear and Josh were all friendly, approachable and professional. They started each morning and got on with the job, and before leaving each day they made sure they cleaned up and was sure that the job had as little impact on us as possible. David approached us about every decision needed and explained things as they went along. We were always able to get in contact with David if we needed to. All plumbing, kitchen fitting, electrics, roofing and building control was arranged by David which took a big weight of us. We were told a timescale of how long the job would roughly take (if nothing cropped up), and the job was completed in the timeframe given. We are extremely happy with our new home, and we would 100% recommend DPM builders. We held out for the right builders and so glad that we did! Thank you for all your hard work and professionalism."
